Park and Ride

Park and ride stops in town

The Park and Ride service will operate from both locations on Friday and Saturday. We are providing extra services from both park and rides during peak times. These buses will head straight from the Park and Ride to the centre of Taunton.

Taunton is accessible from both J25 and J26 on the M5, in Somerset, half way between Bristol and Exeter.

Silk Mills Park and Ride

On the west side of town P&R is called Silk Mills. To get to Silk Mills Park and Ride, use J26 sit from M5 or if you are coming from Minehead along the A358

Gateway Park and Ride

The Gateway Park and Ride is on the east side of Taunton and is accessible from junction 25 of M5 or on the A358 coming from Yeovil direction.

If you use the Park and Ride to access the show, please alight at the stops in the centre of Taunton. This map shows the stops in the town centre and the direction to walk towards the show. You will need to walk up the High Street, away from the town centre. Vivary Park is at the top of the High Street.

Walking

Vivary Park is south central in Taunton, so very easy to get to from anywhere in the town centre. The park is located at the top of the High Street in Taunton. We have three pedestrian entrances into the Park for the show days

Bus

A number of local and regional bus routes come to Taunton. Please speak to your bus provider to understand where their nearerst stop is. The Show is in Vivary park directly opposite the end of the High Street. Click on the link below to visit the First Bus website.

There is a Coach Drop off point for organised trips, which is located near Mount Gate. Follow Flower Show signage from the A38, or use the What3Words location //////movies.scar.pints

Cycling

We don’t have a dedicated cycle parking within the Showground. However there are places to lock your bike up outside.

Near the Town Gate exit, if you are coming in via the white gates of Vivary Park, there are a number of bike stands. Alternatively, if you enter via Mount Gate, you can use the various railing surrounding the Cricket Ground to lock up your bike.

Train

The railway station is the other side of town. It is approximately a 15 minute walk from the station to the park. The route is down Station Road, along Bridge Street, then along North Street, cross over and through the pedestrianised High Street. Vivary Park is at the top of the High Street.
