Sheppy’s Marquee featuring the Wine and Cider Show

The Sheppy’s Marquee hosts the wine and cider competition classes. The show is organised by Taunton Amateur Winemakers on behalf of all Winemaking Circles in Somerset.
There are 36 classes for wine, including
• 2 classes for aperitifs
• 4 classes for beginners
• 4 for table wines
• Wine made to a specified recipe
• 4 for cider
• 7 for country wines
• 2 for liqueurs and a sloe ordamson gin

The wine marquee at the show will also feature:
• A wine tasting competition with a £10 first prize. The marquee is open at 11:30 for this public fun wine tasting on Friday and from 10:00 on Saturday
• A help desk manned by experienced winemakers.
• Demonstrations. The programme is:
Friday
13:30: Make a gallon of wine using seasonal fruit
16:30: Infusions with a difference
Saturday
12:00: Make a gallon of wine using forest fruits.
15:00: Infusions with a difference
